Who are the NGPF Fellows?

This past June, NGPF hosted 12 AMAZING teachers from around the country at our Inaugural Summer Institute — 2.5 days of professional development here at our office in Palo Alto. The teachers included:

  • Teachers from 11 different states, with a great mix of urban, suburban, and rural
  • 2 teachers at charter schools — one in LA and one in Brooklyn
  • 1 teacher from an all-girls Catholic school in Texas
  • 1 teacher from an alternative high school
  • Teachers of personal finance, economics, and family and consumer science

The fun didn’t end this summer, though: They’re staying on during the 2016-17 school year as NGPF Fellows. The Fellows are working with us on a variety of projects. You’ll hear them as guests on  our weekly podcast, “Tim Talks To…” They’ll be participating in Professional Learning Communities with Jessica (if you’re lucky enough to have one of our Fellows in your group, you’re in for a treat — they’re outstanding educators with tons of creative ideas and top-notch feedback on projects). They’ll be providing us in-depth feedback from their classes and their students on some of our projects and activities. And, most importantly, they’ll continue being a strong network for one another.
