The Gist: Your students will explore how trends among the Millennial generation regarding their experiences with technological change, globalization, and economic disruption reshape their spending habits and the economy.

The Best Parts:

• Fun, engaging visual graphics: The dynamic, colorful types of media included in this interactive hooks students in analyzing and comparing data across generations, including area graphs, bar graphs, pie charts, and linear graphs.
• Deeper thinking: This interactive allows students to start thinking about their generation and the ones before them in terms of how trends across generations affect the economy and supply and demand.
• Two possible options: We have given you as the teacher 2 options on how you want students to demonstrate their understanding of the interactive. The first option offers a scaffolded set of questions that students can answer, breaking the interactive down to each section. The second option is to have students write a short essay to a two-part prompt.
