3 Filler Activity Ideas for Year-End
For those times when you need a low-prep lesson to fill the day, here are three meaningful ways to keep students engaged and make the most of the end of the year.
Mini-Units
NGPF has eight mini-units like Gambling and Sports Betting, Buying a Car, and Entrepreneurship that can be the perfect way to fill in gaps in your lesson schedule.
Mini-units generally consist of three to five 45-minute lessons, have the same components as any other NGPF lesson (unit plan, lesson guides, activity packets, etc), and are designed with flexibility in mind.
NGPF Arcade
Engage students with our 11 free, award-winning online games that pair with insightful activity worksheets and reflection questions.
Use INTERACTIVE: Invest with Stax! to simulate 20 years of investing in 20 minutes; have students take on the role of a loan shark in INTERACTIVE: Shady Sam; and more!
Movies & Documentaries
NGPF's Video Library has over 30 viewing guides for personal finance-related movies and documentaries, including seven recent additions.
Prepare them to be discerning with credit offers with CNBC's How Credit Cards Work in the U.S. or show real-life stories of young people finding their way through a variety of economic challenges with Your Life, Your Money.
